Align Your Mind and Body: Decrease Stress and Increase Freedom

Do you suffer from IBS or other digestive disorders?

Are you struggling with excessive worry and a nagging perfectionist?

Do you want relief from the emotional and physical pain of IBS while creating a healthier lifestyle and allowing yourself the freedom to explore pleasure in all areas of your life?

Then it’s time for a new approach to get the freedom you desire in life.

As an IBS sufferer for most of my life I understand the emotional toll this physical illness can have on your life. I also understand how IBS can be exacerbated by stress and an unhealthy cycle between stress, worry and IBS can run your life.

I have discovered in my own experience and in working with my clients that many people who suffer from IBS are highly successful “do gooders” who have a hard time giving themselves a break. We work hard, push ourselves hard, and are a strong support to others.

Combine that kind of pressure with the pain of IBS and it’s easy to see how our mind and body are in a constant struggle.

What if making small changes in your daily life created less discomfort?  When we focus on changing our whole way of being too fast, it doesn’t usually work well. Adding simple things to your daily routine can help you feel more relaxed regardless of external circumstances.

What if you started focusing more on you? Is there a job change, adventure, creative project or other feel good thing you’ve wanted to do but haven’t allowed yourself? There is a definite mind body reaction that occurs when we deny ourselves what we truly want. When you learn to access this, you not only feel healthier, but you feel clearer mentally and emotionally.

If this sounds like you, you can learn more about my approach on my Services page.

From the Blog: Are You Struggling With IBS?

I’ve been there too. I spent many years living with IBS and I know how it can impact all parts of your life from career to relationships. I also know how the stress around IBS symptoms can rule your life. It’s understandable… it’s hard to try new things when you are fearful about having a flare-up. But you don’t have to limit your life, there is something you can do about it.

In my free e-book, “IBS Manifesto: Creating Less Stress and More Freedom While Living With IBS “, I discuss 5 tools to help you start living a more pleasurable life again. It’s not about a quick fix; it’s a lifestyle change.

No it’s not all in your head, IBS is a disease.

However, it is affected by the amount of stress we have in our lives. It doesn’t matter what the level of stress is, it is how we respond to it.

In the free e-book I cover how to recognize your thoughts, become aware of your body’s reaction, and how to open yourself up to relaxation.  By using the tools in the e-book you allow your mind and body to work together to improve your quality of life.
